February 12, 2021

This past summer as I was admiring the beauty of GOD's creation...the grass, flowers, bees & trees I noticed a brown patch in a tree among the green.  So, I honed in for a closer look and upon further inspection I discovered a rather large branch that had been broken by a storm and come apart from the tree.

I remembered the storm.  It had happened months before, but I hadn't noticed the branch that had come apart from the tree until it had dried up and withered.

Being apart from the tree it couldn't live and began to die.  Dying it stood out as no longer being a part.

This reminded me of John 15:5-6 "I AM the VINE, ye are the branches: he that abideth in ME, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without ME ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in ME, he is cast forth as a branch and is withered: and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

I had before me in living color the allegory of CHRIST as the VINE and we as HIS branches.

What a tremendous responsibility we have as Christians to remain in CHRIST.  For apart from HIM we can do nothing.

How do we remain in HIM?  Through intimate relationship with HIM.  Through prayer, fasting, worship.  Through study and mediation of HIS WORD.  Through sincere love for HIM and love for each other.

"If ye abide in ME, and MY WORDS abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  Herein is my FATHER glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be MY disciples.  As the FATHER hath loved ME, so have I loved you: continue ye in MY love.  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in MY love; even as I have kept my FATHER's commandments, and abide in HIS love."  John 15:7-10

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another as I have loved you."  John 15:12

Remain in CHRIST and love always.

Most Sincerely,

Patricia

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ whom I love and you love.

A special Thank You to the Pastor's wives of our Northern Section, Sis. Cheryl Day and Sis. Peggy Reynolds for taking time out of their busy work week to meet with me for conversations of what their desires are concerning Women's Ministries.  While talking with each of them there was one word that kept running through my mind... GROWTH.

Giving thanks always for all things unto GOD and the FATHER in the name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST…Ephesians 5:20. Giving of our time and talents to be used of and for GOD.

Reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of GOD in CHRIST JESUS...Philippines 3:13 (in part) & 14.

Outwardly displaying the impact that the WORD of GOD is having on the inside.

Wholly following the LORD and relying on the TRUTH of HIS WORD.

Taking time for prayer and praise.

Holding forth the WORD of LIFE; that I may rejoice in the day of CHRIST, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain… Philippines 2:16.

It is my heart’s desire that each and every one of you have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday and are able to spend time with family and friends.  And while enjoying one another's company, eating cornbread dressing with giblet gravy and turkey or ham, remember to give thanks to our HEAVENLY FATHER for all the great things HE has done.

We truly have so much to be thankful for!

Most Sincerely,

Patricia

I would like to express my appreciation for the time and effort spent by the ladies of Anchor of Hope for preparing a hearty soup, Bar-B-Q beef sandwiches, potato salad, chocolate chip cookies, fruit salad and sweet tea for last Friday nights Fellowship rally.

I enjoyed speaking with and listening to each of you!

Thank you for a positive and moving experience.  And Thanks be to GOD, our Heavenly Father for HIS protection during the inclement weather and for a safe trip to and from Anchor of Hope in Springhill, Louisiana.

Most Sincerely,
